DESCRIPTION

Position small detail parts with a two-ended tool

The T12005 uses tacky silicone tips to lift and position small components, offering a different contact method from squeezing a part between tweezers. Vallejo identifies it for photo-etched details, plastic and resin components, and decals. Choose it when a tip-based placement method suits the part and the available access.

There is a working tip at each end. Compare Tamiya’s rounded tweezers if you prefer to hold a component between two jaws, or GodHand’s wider curved tweezers when approaching a part lying on the bench. The manufacturer does not establish a cleaning procedure or replacement-tip system here, so check those requirements before planning long-term tip maintenance.

Your questions about this product

When would I choose silicone pickup tips over tweezers?

Consider tip-based pickup when holding the part between jaws is awkward. Tweezers remain an alternative when a two-jaw grip is the more suitable contact method.

Does Vallejo identify it for resin and photo-etch parts?

Yes. The exact T12005 catalogue entry names photo-etched parts, plastic and resin components, and decals.

Can I clean the tips with my usual solvent?

Solvent resistance and a cleaning procedure are not established for T12005 in the reviewed manufacturer entry. Confirm the exact instructions before applying a cleaning chemical.
