Choose the contact shape and working surface before the grit or pack size. A steel file, a diamond cone, a glass file and a bare abrasive support behave as different tools and need different supplies.

What changes the choice
Basic profile coverage
Tamiya 74104
Flat, half-round and round smooth double-cut files; 140 mm total length.
Tapered openings and tubes
Tamiya 74164
Conical #200 diamond section; 55 mm working length, 8 mm maximum diameter.
Bare carbon-fibre supports; self-adhesive paper is separate.
Prepared assortment and storage
Lasnten rotating-organizer set
Ready abrasive sticks/twigs; rotation belongs to storage.
Replaceable clamped paper
jojobasec Red Round holder
Receiving holder only; paper is not included.
Match the shape to the face or opening
Tamiya 74104 supplies flat, half-round and round smooth double-cut files in a 140 mm total format. It is a useful basic-profile comparison with the individual hard-coated 74106 flat 6 mm file or 74107 round 3 mm file. Choose the face that can contact the detail rather than simply a longer file.
The 74164 conical diamond file addresses a changing opening diameter or tube end. Its 150 mm tool length, 55 mm working section and 8 mm maximum working diameter have separate roles; the #200 grade is another independent specification. For photo-etched metal, Tamiya 74066 provides a half-circle diamond working form intended for restricted access.
Decide whether the abrasive is already on the tool
The nasedal CD-03 has a dot-matrix glass working surface for plastic nubs, parting lines and small areas. It is a ready working surface, not a carbon-fibre backing board that needs paper added.
DSPIAE CFB01-09 supplies nine differently shaped carbon-fibre supports. The seller says self-adhesive sandpaper is not included: choose the required abrasive separately and match it to the backing profile. The stated 1 mm support thickness is a backing dimension, not an abrasive grit or a promised final surface finish.
Organize prepared abrasives at the bench
Lasnten’s assortment supplies ready abrasive sticks and twigs with a 360-degree rotating organizer. The organizer brings stored grades and shapes into reach between sanding steps. That is a practical choice if a prepared assortment and bench organization are more useful than bare backing profiles.
The selected jojobasec Red Round holder instead retains separately supplied paper with a clamp/knob arrangement. Sandpaper is expressly excluded. Choose this receiving arrangement when you want to select the abrasive separately and keep the holder while changing paper.
Use the exact surface-care instruction
The CD-03 seller describes rinsing with water or brushing dust away with a soft brush. That instruction belongs to this glass-file reference; it does not establish the cleaning method for every steel file, coated abrasive or adhesive-backed sheet.
For a replacement-paper support, check both the paper’s attachment and the working profile. A collection of colors or grit numbers alone is not a reason to buy more identical backing shapes. Build the choice around flat faces, curved contact and narrow access, then select the appropriate abrasive for the material.

Should I buy ready abrasive sticks or bare supports?
Choose ready sticks when the prepared shapes/grades suit the work. CFB01-09 and the jojobasec holder need separate paper, so their value is the backing or receiving arrangement rather than supplied grit.
Which measurement matters for a deep opening?
Check the working section, not only overall length. The 74164 specifies a 55 mm tapered working section within a 150 mm tool; 8 mm is its maximum working diameter.
Does the rotating Lasnten holder sand the part?
No. Its stated role is organizing and selecting the stored abrasive pieces. The sanding sticks and twigs are the working tools.
Can every file be rinsed like the glass model?
Use each tool’s own instructions. Water or a soft brush is specifically described for CD-03; that does not automatically apply to steel files or adhesive-backed abrasives.
