This small handsaw gives you wide and narrow blade profiles for model construction and modification. The narrow profile is useful to compare when access around the cut is restricted; the wider profile provides a different working shape. Tamiya identifies lengths of 46 mm and 43 mm for those blades and a thickness of 0.35 mm.
Those blade dimensions are not maximum cutting capacities or the overall tool length. The included plastic case stores the blades. For a straight angled cut that needs a guide, compare the separate miter-box sets in the saw department; a fine-tooth handsaw by itself does not establish a guided cutting angle. Follow the maker’s grip instruction: hold the handle and chuck, without pressing fingers against the flat top of the blade.
