Choose the guidance before comparing tooth counts

A freehand saw and a guided set solve different problems. The X-ACTO X75300 supplies a handle and fine/medium razor-saw blades. Excel 55666 adds a miter box with 45° and 90° slots. The 35-241 adds a 60°slot as well as45° and 90°. Choose the physical guide when a repeated angle is part of the requirement.

For small round stock, the 35-251 offers a beveled tubing/dowel channel and an adjustable stop. Its stated stock envelope is1/4 in or less, while35-241 states 7/8 in or less. These limits belong to the respective complete setups; tooth density and blade length do not automatically increase them.

Check what receives the blade and what holds the work

FIRSTINFO H5441 is a screw-fixable aluminum guide to pair with a suitable saw. The seller lists stock up to 2 in thick and 3 in wide, but that does not establish what material your saw can cut. The blade-limit entry gives non-equivalent metric/inch labels, so verify a close-fitting blade against the actual slot requirement.

HAUTMEC HT0034 uses an adjustable-tension frame. Its six blade-orientation settings are different from the three guide-box angles. The supplied blade’s material description is inconsistent, so do not choose it for a material-specific job on an assumedHSS specification.

Match the working profile and future replacements

Tamiya 74111 supplies wide and narrow profiles, with maker lengths46 and 43 mm and 0.35 mmSK95 blades. Those are blade dimensions, not the saw’s maximum stock thickness. The ANSAI MS101-BC assortment adds irregular profiles and two handles for approaching awkward plastic-model details.

TOOLAN adds a different reason to buy: a push-button attachment system with both saw and file pieces. Its stated mounting dimensions do not prove that every jigsaw blade or needle file fits. If a simple fine/medium razor-saw pair is enough, the X-ACTO set avoids buying an attachment system for operations you do not need.

Questions before choosing

Do more teeth mean a larger cutting capacity?

No. Tooth density, blade size, guide opening and permitted work material are separate specifications. Use the limits for the exact setup.

When is a box-only purchase useful?

When you already have a saw that fits the guide and suits the intended material. Compare a complete set if the handle and blade are also needed.

Does the Tamiya 74111 include an angle guide?

A blade-storage case is described, but no miter guide is established as included. Choose a compatible guide separately when needed.
