Hold the strip or keel while both hands work

The 8155 has two specifically described holding jobs. It grips an individual planking strip for trimming, and it can hold the hull keel while you work with both hands. That is a different purchase from a plank bender, which changes the strip’s curve rather than keeping the work in place.

The jaws adjust in angle, and a spring-loaded quick-release lever is described for re-clamping in the same position. A metal C-clamp is included for attaching the tool to the workbench. The tool is described as 10-1/2 inches long with metal jaws; that length does not identify the jaw opening or the thickness of a bench it will fit.
